Meeting was opened by President TM Abidul Islam at 7.40 pm.He explained that meeting is a speakathan and it will have 5 speeches & one presentation about pathways. He also informed that club achieved 5 DCP points for this year and congratulated all the members for their continuous participation.
TME TM Pratibha explained the theme that we should endeavor to listen to our heart and take decisions. Excellent co-ordination, time management skills displayed by her and she ensured the meeting ends on time.
Thought of the evening was given by TM Namrata Pandey. Word of the day “Meraki” was introduced by TM Mohammed Aslam. Meraki means “to do something with total love” was widely used by club members in the meeting.
TM Kumarappan gave his Pathway L1 P2 speech with the title “Why do we need to sleep”. He explained the various aspects of sleep and its importance. He also explained the benefits of having proper sleep and the problems that will occur due to deprived sleep His speech was evaluated by TM Ramakrishnan.
TM Nancy Roji gave her Pathway Icebreaker speech with title e “Why I am here”. She spoke about her journey of life, happenings, career and family. Her speech was under the quote: “Toastmasters will cross my way to speak well once my tongue will deliver the message of my heart. Her speech was evaluated by TM Shruti Shetty
TM Mohammed Asif gave his Pathways project L3 Project 3 “A Night at London”. He spoke about his experience of London Trip where he lost back bag and resultant issues. His speech was evaluated by TM Ranjit Nair.
TM Rajan Tawde gave his Pathway Project L2-P2 speech on ‘Somebody watching …. Do it by heart. His speech based on a story, wherein an enthusiastic boy John become successful footballer based on his meraki efforts and mentorship of his coach. His speech was evaluated by TM Mohammed Asif.
TM Shameema Ahmed gave her Advanced Speech 24 with title “Roast”. This speech is about humorously criticized/make jokes about a person well known to the club. Her speech humorously criticized TM Abidul Islam. Her speech was evaluated by TM Namrata Pandey.
TM Abidul Islam gave a presentation speech about “Pathways”. This is an educative speech and gave insight about toastmasters pathways to new members and acted as refer fresher to experienced members.
The general evaluation was done by TM Rajsekhar. He appreciated TME and role players for their job. He gave few suggestions like starting the meeting on time, announcing the changes in agenda upfront and he requested members to actively participate in delivering prepared speeches.
The meeting was declared closed by the President at 9:40 pm and dinner was served.
