Minutes of the 302th meeting of Inner Universe Toastmaster Club

It was a Colorful meeting run by TM Shruthi with splashes of color as Toastmasters turned up in colorful attire and guessed everyone’s favorite color. We witnessed two informative speech, wonderful Table Topic session,Toastmasters danced for Rum sum song and 6 guests attended the meeting. Meeting started at 7:40 pm.
Young cheerful Sergeant at arms TM Md. Aslam opened the meeting reading out the Toastmaster International mission and urged the participants to refrain talking from Taboo topics of politics, religion and sex. He invited Acting President TM Ketan Mhatre to start the meeting.
TM Ketan opened the meeting and expressed his happiness as our club turned out to be the winner of District Website Weaver award, Club was presented with medal at Muscut, Onam during DTAC. He conducted Induction for new member TM Prashant where everyone took pledge to help him in Toastmaster journey and called TM Shruthi to steer the meeting.
TM Shruthi spoke about how colors influence the feeling and behavior. She says when we were less developed animals we used it for survival as red, orange we considered as food like fruits. Green is for safety as we took shelter under the tree canopies, blue represented sky which made us get wet and made us feel good. Though today we don’t need color for survival still it plays a vital role like to signal action etc. She called TM Haneef for Thought of the evening and introduced all the role players.
Thought of the evening was presented by TM Haneef, he conveyed the message as gold color makes wealth through a story about Buddha culture of Bangkok.
TM Seema introduced a word “ Enthral” meaning Fascinate, Charm, Absorb, dazzle with example like Good Speakers Enthral people easily, The child enthralled by the bright moving images, His thrillers makes enthralling reading.
TM Ranjit as Timer, TM Haneef as Ah Counter, TM Seema as Quiz master, TM Kumarappan as Grammarian all performed their role to the best.
TM Mohamed Aslam gave his Speech on “Magical Science of Story Telling” he says Human behavior and feelings can be changed using story telling which is called emotional investment also functional storytelling is a strong tool for marketing and business. Evaluated by TM Namrata
TM Mahanshu just one speech away in receiving CC award presented his Project 9 on “Colorful delicious garbage” which focused on unhealthy living style and the negative impact of consuming junk food and processed food. He asked us to introduce few things like to study philosophy, eat organic foods, vegetables, fruits, yoga, meditation and to involve in sports activity to lead a healthy life, evaluated by TM Aloris Dias.
To create enthusiasm before Table Topic TM Shruthi arranged warm up session where everyone had good laughter and fun shaking hands for Rum sum song.
Table topic Master TM Rajan also prepared colorful topics where he pulled 12 toastmasters including Guest. The topics covered were
Rainbow and life,
How is life without color?
Introduce color Pink?
Importance of black color
Any Colorful pic you liked the most?
Your least favorite color why?
Your most favorite color why?
The most memorable painting of childhood?

General Evaluator TM Abidul Islam was delighted to see the meeting back on track though it started late. He Congratulated TME TM Shruthi, Table topic Master, Speakers and role players for the success of the meeting and requested all the toastmasters to be on time.
TM Shruthi concluded with her role and handed over the stage to President. TM Ketan thanked TM Shruthi and well appreciated for the Colorful meeting on her first attempt as Toastmaster of the Evening, presented awards to the winners and closed the meeting. Dinner served at 9:25 Pm

I missed yet another great meeting. However the above detailed minutes gave us opportunity to get the feel and touch of the meeting.

The star of the show was TM Shruti. She conducted the meeting in a very elegant way. All items were on time and everyone enjoyed the dancing routines. I was surprised by her jovial confidence throughout the meeting.
Second highlight was the Table topic session in which a lot of participants including guests gave confident speeches.
Over all excellent meeting conducted by TME who seemed like a seasoned Toastmaster.

It was one of the most interesting and fun filled meeting. Shruti, you did a great job. The whole meeting was conducted very smoothly, and very well managed with respect to time.
I missed a great meeting but from the above minutes of meeting, I am able to know all the beautiful and learning moments which are nicely captured by TM shruthi.
