We witnessed a humor filled 282 meeting led by TM SenthilKumar. Every toastmaster came up with humorous act and a joke to share. Meeting started little late at 7:44pm. Though there were few members considering holiday time, meeting turned up to be very successful as some of the toastmasters played more than one role.

Young cheerful Sergeant at arms TM Md.Aslam opened the meeting reading out the Toastmaster International mission and urged the participants to refrain talking from Taboo topics of politics, religion and sex. He invited acting President TM Shameema to start the meeting.

TM Shameema wholeheartedly accepted the President role. She wonderfully described life is a blessing by giving examples from Monk Gaur Gopal Das. She  urged all to feel content, deep breath, add humor, live life to heart content. She invited reliable TM Senthil to proceed the meeting.
TM Senthil started his role with humorous act from hospital scene, he said how Charlie Chaplin considers “A day without laughter is a day wasted” and called upon all role players.

Greet Master TM Sajeev, Timer TM syamlal, AH counter TM Md.Asif, Grammarian TM Haneef Puttur, Quiz master TM Shruthi all did their role to the best

TM Md. Aslam shared an ideal thought as child laughs 300 times in a day where as adult 70 times. The huge difference is due to the fact that child is not worried about past or future.

Word Master TM JayaKrishnan well explained and shared the word “REFRACTORY” which means stubborn, unmanageable with examples like Most teenagers go through a refractory phase where they don’t listen to authority figures.

TM Sajeev amazingly gave his icebreaker speech.He divided the speech into 4 phases like School, College, Job and Expatriate. He mentioned getting admission in Engineering was a turning point in his life. In 2001  birth of his son is one of the happiest moment. He enjoys his job and proud to be associated with projects like Dubai metro, Dubai mall etc, evaluated by TM Prachi.

TM Hannef delivered project 5 On “Body Language”. He says for effective communication stance, gesture and facial expressions are important. He demonstrated a good body language to start communication and performed a magic as an example to show how much necessary is the body language, evaluated by TM Rajan.

TM Rajan delivered Project 6 on “My first experience at the hospital”. He took us back to 20 years where he had problem in right leg and admitted to hospital. He shared wonderful memories of his 7 days stay there. He enjoyed his first wheel chair ride. He described the moments as lost and found, he was proud to be the host for family get together , reunion of friends who brought him fruits, flowers and lots of glucose biscuits. He says in hospital you will find all life answers for the question, evaluated by TM Shahjan.

TM Mohamad Asif delivered Project 6 on “Keys to happy Married life. He added humor by saying on August 15 he lost his independence by getting married. Soon he discovered marriage means going to Restaurant and eating Chinese. He gave some key points for happy marriage like know your partner, don’t compromise sometimes do what makes you happy, humor is important part of life, understand feeling, criticize in a nice way, complement each other, evaluated by TM Shameema.

Table Topic Master TM shruthi chose humorous topic like

  1. Tell us why you should be chosen as the winner of table topics
  2. In your opinion who should be the boss of the house ” husband or wife”
  3. The worst movie you have seen
  4. If you could be invisible for a day what you will do
  5. What things scare you even though you know there is no reason to be afraid of
  6. Frog jumping must be made as an Olympic Sport

TM Md. Basheer, TM Shameema, TM Md. Aslam, TM Jayakrishnan, TM Prachi, TM Syamlal added lots of humor to the topics

TME Senthil conducted educational session on Evaluation. He brilliantly mentioned evaluate to elevate. He shared some important points like before speech use guidelines, exhibit interest in growth of speaker, evaluate the speech not person, promote self esteem, use phrases such as “i believe, i suggest, what i felt was, what i observed”

TM Mohammed Basheer expressed that the meeting was well conducted and in detail and quoted some suggestions such as to add the vision and mission in agenda. to make attractive agenda eg. like a wedding invitation or sometimes to go environmental friendly by circulating agenda only through email or whatsapp.

TM Senthil concluded with his role and handed over the stage to President. TM Shameema thanked and well appreciated for doing a fabulous job as a TME and closed the meeting. Dinner served at 9:38pm.
